is anyone else shocked at this?

I was really looking forward to it but this man had always done my head in.
And with that man dying at his house he just makes me cringe.

vile, vile man.

I think it's outrageous that Channel 4 have signed him.

I can def foresee some sort of breakdown happening within the house. he's a wreck.

sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 02/01/2006 08:00

How desparately vulgar

I have all ways loathed him too. He was involved in a suspicious death by drowning, although not proved guilty he should't be in the public eye any longer

And Pete Burns too, the seeking of attention is going to be frenzied.

I don't think anyone can beat Jack Dee and his farting and calling out "I love you" to his wife over the wall

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 08:04

I very nearly emailed Ch4 to complain but I doubt it would make a difference. Channel4 like the controversial-ness (real word??) of it so he'd be ideal I guess.

Without a shadow of a doubt he will be out first, either voted out or because he freaks and leaves.

You mean there's Pete Burns and Michael Barrymore in this latest big brother household - that's the stuff of nightmares! Agree it is in shocking taste. Who are the other guests (I dread to think now)? I havn't watched Big Brother since the Jack Dee one. He just rose above the vulgarity, didn't he?

sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 02/01/2006 08:19

He did, gor bless him - he's my favourite stand up comedian

Not only those pair, but Anna Nicole Smith.

As you can tell I still read The Sun online, just to keep myself abreast.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 08:22

I was really looking forward to it with Liza Tarbuck in it but with this horrible lot I think she disappear into the back ground.
I hope she'd made of stern stuff.

tigermoth · 02/01/2006 08:23

Who is Anna Nicole Smith? My knowledge of modern slebs is very poor. I probably wouldn't know of the rest of the housemate line up.

New Years' resolution - must read the Sun online more often. Am going to google in Big Brother now to see what comes up.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 08:26

She that big boobed blonde gold digger that married a 90yr old oil magnet weeks befoer he died.

OP posts:
tigermoth · 02/01/2006 08:34

money must have run out, then, or is she just greedy for more?

tigermoth · 02/01/2006 08:35

I see Esther Rantzen and Lisa Tarbuck are possibles.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 08:40

I might be pluking these numbers from the air but I think she "got" something obscene like $900 million dollars when he died. His son took her to court to get it back leaving her with much less.....about $400 million or something.

I doubt shes pennyless...just very vain wanting to be in BB

  • I'd stay out of the pool if I was a housemate

Pete Burns you say - is he going cold turkey?

Bring back Jackie Stallone

LadyTophamHatt · 02/01/2006 10:04

Jools!!

NomDePlume · 02/01/2006 10:45

Let's not forget Barrymore's alledged love of young boys....

You're right LTH, CH4 would relish your complaint, they strive to make BB as outrageous/contraversial as possible. Of course they would call it 'pushing the boundaries' or 'breaking taboos' or some such old sh*te. Revolting.

NomDePlume · 02/01/2006 10:45

pmsl @ Jools

compo · 02/01/2006 10:46

erm... he didn't actually drown anyone...

welshboris · 02/01/2006 10:51

Compo do you honestly think he had nothing to do with that young boys awful death?

That his hands were clean?

NomDePlume · 02/01/2006 10:53

I don't know what happened with the drowning, I don't think he actively drowned the lad, but I do think that he supplied the drugs for the party which were found in the boy's system....

TinyGang · 02/01/2006 10:53

I hate BB so much. 200 yrs ago people used to put mentally ill people in circus tents to gawp at them. Now we have BB and for entertainment and hope someone cracks up or humiliates themselves. It's gross.

NomDePlume · 02/01/2006 10:54

I agree TG.

compo · 02/01/2006 10:55

the thing is no one knows what happened at that party and if the law hasn't convicted im of anything why should Channel 4?

NomDePlume · 02/01/2006 10:55

I remember seeing clips of Les Dennis in the BB house, it was just so sad and shocking that Ch4 felt it was ok to broadcast someones openly distressing breakdown on national telly for sheer entertainment.

compo · 02/01/2006 10:56

oh yes agree with that ndp - and Vanessa Feltz cracking up

welshboris · 02/01/2006 10:57

I agree TG, quite a few of this years contestants mental states are dubious.

They are putting them in there, stirring it up then sitting back and watching them destroy themselves

So sad

TinyGang · 02/01/2006 11:00

Also remember the hammering poor Ann Diamond got for committing the ultimate crime of putting on a bit of weight.
