Hi just seen rev on my guide for the 10th- have I missed any episodes? I loved the first series!

No new series starting this week - yay!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 07/11/2011 11:45

Didn't see the first series. Can I plunge straight into this one? And is it any good?

purpleprincess · 07/11/2011 11:57

Yes I think so - I'm sure you would pick up on the major characters fairly quickly. I think it is really good but everyone is different (it did win quite a few awards I think). Tom Hollander is great as the Rev and the rest of the supporting cast as well - it is laugh out loud funny (sometimes) as well as having some touching moments.

Apparentely Ralph Fiennes pops up in a cameo role this series and it also features the former Archie from Balamory as the Rev's assistant. I think Lord G himself (Hugh Bonneville) is also in it occasionally.....

Cool, thank you! Yes, I've read about Ralph Fiennes being in it, which for some reason amuses me greatly.

LaPruneDeMaTante · 07/11/2011 12:08

I (committed atheist) absolutely love Rev. Tom Hollander, Olivia Coleman, and that bloke whose name I can never remember as the camp bish - they are all brilliant.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 07/11/2011 12:29

Is it Simon McBurney? He is ace. I also slightly fancy Tom Hollander Blush so that's two good reasons to watch!

Pancakeflipper · 07/11/2011 12:31

OOh it's back. Right need to set Sky+ to record the series.

topsyturner · 07/11/2011 12:34

Oooh brilliant , it's a new series then ? Happy days Grin

wintera · 07/11/2011 22:21

Olivia Coleman is getting rave reviews for her new film at the mo. Hope they can hang on to her. Keep seeing things about her being tipped for major awards. Ralph Fiennes eh? You've no idea how happy that has made me!

Thanks for the reminder Smile

Great episode tonight, I thought.

clangermum · 02/12/2011 08:21

loved the party of wives and the ecumenical curry

brandrethmupp · 03/12/2011 00:13

No to fancying Tom Hollander. He's tiny.
Loved the devil episode.

demisemiquaver · 05/12/2011 09:41

episode on thuur 1st dec was absolutely ACE in every way ; also a wee bit like Teachers ?

MaryAnnSingleton · 09/12/2011 11:12

I loved Teachers ! and I loved Rev last night. Tom Hollander is very cute but wish he could be taller

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 09/12/2011 12:58

I know Tom H is tiny. I'm tall, too, so it's even weirder. I can't help it though ? I still would. He's officially my inexplicable crush well one of them.

ChairOfTheBored · 10/12/2011 19:36

I loved this week's episode. Beautifully observed, excellently written. I haven;t really enjoyed the second series as much as the first, but this week was right up there - the tension in what being a vicar means, seeing the person not the addiction, and the contrast between the city church and the City.

Fab.
