OK - he has a secret. But what might it be? He certainly seems to be living with someone - married? Other partner?

(Speculation not spoilers, please! or if you have a good spoiler - could you link it, not post the contents. Thanks).

I can't remember that Peter story at all!! I wish Rosie would just leave, that haircut has gone to her head.

crazynannawitchbitch · 21/10/2011 21:35

Well done EdithWeston [hsmile]

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 21/10/2011 21:38

Marcus has improved again hasn't he, he was really annoying me when the Dylan storyline was going on.

theliverpoolone · 21/10/2011 23:14

Rosie is going to be leaving soon - hurray! The actress who plays her is going to be a full time WAG apparently Wink. Not much distinction between her and her character there!

popadop · 22/10/2011 07:30

When Peter first arrived back, just before the bigimist story line, he had the hots for Liz.

She was not interested but he cornered her after closing one night and tried to rape her.

scarevola · 22/10/2011 08:21

I suppose Eileen will decide to see him at some point in the future - Paul is coming across as a nice guy, but I was actually rather glad to see Eileen have such strong views on the significance of marriage.

Yes, Marcus has improved enormously - I wonder if he will be the one who persuades Eileen to think it over again.

Popadop - I've googled like crazy on Peter, Liz, and the Rovers and can find nothing on any Corrie site about this (and they're not mealy mouthed about characters and their crimes) nor can I remember an attempted rape story-line. I'd have thought attempted rape would be much more memorable. Sorry to ask, but is it certain this was attempted rape, not a drunken pass?

mmmmmm i would say attempted rape he had his hand up her skirt...[or should i say belt]

maybe some would consider it a drunken pass but I wouldnt. Confused

scarevola · 22/10/2011 08:34

I am concerned about the potential trivialisation of the term "rape" in Corrie - eg the Maria incident was definitely not attempted rape (snog, lunge, then stop dead and contrite all in the space of a minute).

One hand on a thigh isn't attempted rape, and it seems that the incident wasn't treated as a rape storyline. It might be enough for a lesser sexual assault charge, depending on the total circumstances and which body parts were touched.

On a different note, it's Betty Driver's RL funeral today.

I saw the lovely ITV retrospective during the week, and there might be others today.

I hope she gets a good Street send off too idc. It would be lovely if they could get some old regulars back (and resist the temptation to use them for plot, rather just enjoy their presence).

Yes, RIP Betty. I saw the programme about her a few months ago, it was very interesting, I know she hasn't been playing a large part in recent years, but she will be missed.

Bossybritches22 · 22/10/2011 14:22

She was a great age though wasn't she & only appeared briefly not that long ago, bless her.

Hoping they'll give her character a decent "official" sendoff.

Luvaduck who'll feed the men their hotpots now???
