We are almost through series two, this is very popular for ITV, I think they will keep it going for another four series at least.

Although I am liking this series alright, I loved the first series and I don't want to see it being made into a rubbish costume soap and churned out.

Well Branson Pickle was totally unscary tonight - obviously handed the controlling male hat over to Sir Richard (so Lady Mary - what first attracted you to multi-millionaire Sir Richard?). Plus when he was all oily and fixing cars I thought he looked........ok

They desperately need to slow it down, why are they racin6 throu6h time?

I want to see more love action downstairs, the Bates/Anna love story is 6ettin borin6.

Daisy will turn to the dark side and fall in with Thomas and Cora's ladies maid.

And Cora's eyes, yes they're a lovely colour, but being able to see the whites of your eyes all the way around your irises is just a little bit scary. Put them away Elizabeth!

I agree with Molly that Sir Richard killed Mrs Bates - that's why he and Lavina were late coming up to London that evening . The cut on Bates head and him earlier wishing that she was the 'late' Mrs Bates not 'former' was far too obvious.

Mrs Bates was greedy and went to Sir Richard for money - wouldn't give her any so just to spite everyone she tolf the judge that she had been paid by Mr Bates for the divorce . Sir Richard seeing that she was a problem that wouldn't go away did the dirty deed.

The trailer for ext week with Bates saying about him getting arsenic is another red herring .

The imposter storyline was a bit of a damp squid really , and the storyline re Ethel and her baby needs to come to a conclusion.

Good to see Matthew getting his 'what not' back and looks like Earl R is going to get some 'what not' with the maid

Anyway still looking forward to next week !

Right, please excuse me, I'm just watching last night's episode and struggling to remember back to series 1 episode 1!

This 'Patrick' (yeah right! ) was supposed to be in love with Mary but Edith was in love with him? I don't remember this particularly well. If he reckons he knew Edith loved him, was he in love with Mary or after her out of some sort of duty or something?

Sir R had Mrs Bates killed. That gets rid of Sir R.

Totally agree that there's more going on between Lavvy-poo and Sir R than we've been told. We still don't know why he was threatening her.

My vote is for Lavinia to be killed by the flu. I reckon Ethel and the baby will get it too :( Scene set for M&M.

THANK GOODNESS FOR VIOLET!!!! Men obviously can't take hints - why did Matthew look so shocked in the trailer? Surely he knew that already?! If not, he is the doziest man ever to have disgraced mankind.

Sir G and the maid exchange soppy glances and heartfelt chats but it goes no futher. I just couldn't take the 'ick' factor in that.

We still haven't had a funeral... that's the only one of the big 3 left.

Does it end next week? If they carry on the M&M thing to series 3 I think I'll pass. The good thing about fiction is that you can make up your own endings :)
