I am sure 'Trollied' was based on my local Asda, and here's why. . .

My evidence:

  1. You only have to watch the opening to know it's a pisstake on Asda.
  1. The show is set in the town where I live
  1. There are only two Asdas in the town. My neighbourhood has been specifically mentioned (not as the location, but in a different context).
  1. I've been to Asda this morning and spotted not one, not two, but three dead ringers for certain characters on the show! I'm going to check the butchers' counter next time I'm there.

Anyway, love the show, anyone else watching it?

I nearly asked the stock guy if he knew he looked like the really lazy one, but thankfully thought first about how that would sound.

Then I saw a 'Margaret' complete with hat walking through. Followed by a larger girl with a Croydon facelift and a bit too much makeup. I grinned all the way out of the store Grin
