Arrggh!!! Am I The Only Person On This Planet Who Doesn't Watch 'X' Factor???????

I have been to dd's nativity play this morning, I was chatting with other parents whilst waiting for the play to start and so many of them started talking about their addiction to X factor I sat there gobsmacked. One mother is even thinking of cancelling a Christmas night out because it clashes with the final! Lots of the fathers were having a good gossip about it as well while dh and I just sat there trying not to stifle a giggle.

The only ones I've watched are the really shocking ones in the early auditions, just to PMAL @ them.

No - I don't watch it either - have caught the odd bit when flicking around the channels, but would deffo not go out of my way to watch it at all.

Unbelievable isn't it? I went out the other night and everyone was taping it, had my hair cut the next day and it was discussed in detail by all around me. No-one wants to be out in case they miss it. If it's not that it's Get Me Out of Here, Ballroom dancing or Big Brother!

I'm going to have to start watching just so that I can converse with people.

Never seen it, got no interest in seeing it, and if that makes me a weirdo then so be it! Not sure why not wanting to watch cheap, tacky TV would make me a weirdo though ...

Have only ever seen snippets of the auditions. Can't stand it, but is does seem to rule some people's lives a little tooo much!

also don't like it or I'm a celebrity but what does really piss me off is how the other channels seem to schedule rubbish against X factor/I'm a celebrity on the assumption that everyone wants to watch them aarrrgghhh

I don't watch any of those 'showbiz' programmes unless my sister is visiting because she's an addict. I can't stand all the compulsory squealing, hugging, crying....

And the women are just as bad

Nope, never watched it, never likely to. Although I felt sorry for ds, who said that EVERYBODY in his class watches it and he feels the odd one out. I said to dh 'Does that mean we have to resort to watching shite TV so ds doesn't feel left out?!'
