God I'm finding it hard to watch. I don't remember finding the book so heavy going, but I did read it five years ago.

Not really a scene no, Susie was down in the den with Harvey and said she wanted to leave. Harvey told her it was impolite so she tried to run out and climb the ladder. Harvey tried to pull her back down so she kicked him in the face and the next thing you see is she's climbing out the hatch and running through the field. You don't see anything relating to the rape and murder until Susie is walking around Harvey's bathroom.

Definitely appreciating the film version, especially considering it didn't get rave reviews. The rape/murder scene didn't need to be shown and it was uncomfortable viewing enough without if that makes sense.

I like the views of 'in between' - I couldn't imagine it very well with the book and like how they have shown it.

MrsDeVere I hope so too :)
