Very accurate and touching strain of a carer, especially an older carer. Reminds us that there are many many Dots - all invisible....

Smuddy81 · 24/05/2011 21:39

I balled my eyes out. So moving. :(

sharbie · 24/05/2011 21:50

very good episode, I thought
to begin with I wondered if she was going to die
then I thought she was going to have a full on breakdown
but, did anyone else think there was a big time jump- she seemed to go into the Vic, I thought around lunchtime, then it was dark when she came out?

Megmeg · 26/05/2011 15:18

Excellent episode, but it was so so sad :(

gregssausageroll · 26/05/2011 19:56

I missed it!! What happened? Is Dot ill?

GwendolineMaryLacey · 26/05/2011 20:03

I didn't cry, I'm 'ard me. I'm also a liar.

gregssausageroll · 26/05/2011 20:46

K999. Some very touching scenes with Jim and Dot. Jim has gone into residential care. You saw him in the ambulance getting ready to go. He made a few noises (in real life he can't talk following his stroke). EE played that piano music that usually is only played when someone is leaving. The ambulance drove off and Dot shouted she'd always be there.

Very touching and very well done.

K999 · 26/05/2011 20:50

Thanks Greggs. I'll try and watch it on BBC3 later. Smile

sharbie · 26/05/2011 23:15

Just seen this on iPlayer. Beautifully acted. Am crying so much I may fuse the laptop.

Wolfgirl · 27/05/2011 11:40

Heart crushing! But I think someone should have gone with Jim in the abulance, what was that all about? He's not brain dead... still has thoughts and emotions. Honestly.... but there we are. Yes, poor Dot! Sad

Wolfgirl · 27/05/2011 11:41

PS, yes I know it is only a soap.... but I still felt sad for him making the journey to his new abode all alone.
