The Damson Dene is advertising Sunday lunch and meet Amos et al, I kid you not.

Bohica · 22/05/2011 21:35

I felt really sorry for him & then felt the love when he received his NI number Smile

He must be so lonely Sad

AlistairSim · 22/05/2011 21:52

Please go, adamschic, and bring back pictures.

adamschic · 22/05/2011 22:02

Might do Grin

I was going to come on here last night and say how Sad I felt for Amos.

However, did feel that at the end of the episode, the manager had mellowed a bit towards him - remember how much editing goes on, so the lad cannot seriously be as bad as they are making him out to be, as all the sympathy in the world wouldn't keep him on there!Grin

buttercupsareyellow · 23/05/2011 11:11

the manager was such a tosser in last night's episode, the way he was screaming at the poor housekeeping girls who were looking for irons... and of course poor Amos. He's normally pretty mellow too, I want to know what put the manager is such a god awful bad mood. Then again it can't be much fun for him either living alone in that caravan.

pawsnclaws · 23/05/2011 18:36

Poor Amos indeed - when he wasn't being shouted at, he was being preyed on by the God Squad (pmsl though at "there's someone in our shower").

Where is this hotel? It looked dreadful. I know the manager was an arse, but I still kind of felt for him - it looked like a job where you got long hours for little pay and no thanks, and let's be honest he did seem to be doing most of the work himself.

hadagutsfull · 23/05/2011 18:42

More love for Amos from me bless him! I like the manager too though - Wayne I think? - I know he was a bit of an arse last night but he usually has a twinkle in his eye. Am trying to talk DH into going there for a weekend but am slightly worried about the food from what you see of the chaos in the kitchen Grin

paisleyII · 23/05/2011 21:34

oh, i missed it, forgot it was on last night, dd and i will hopefully get to watch in on catchup in the week along with the hotel inspector. dd and i too want to go and stay at the damsen dene, we both think the food looks good, i always feel hungry when i see their traditional english fayre served up on a plate, good hearty servings. was it a good episode last night?

adamschic · 23/05/2011 21:56

Oh, it's quite cheap £100 dinner b&b for 2 people.

Fimbo · 24/05/2011 11:40

Adamschic, have you ever been inside it? It looks horribly grubby and Wayne the biggest wanker going.

Fimbo · 24/05/2011 11:43

A wee \link{http://www.bestlakesbreaks.co.uk/the-hotel.htm\Amos} fill}

adamschic · 24/05/2011 11:54

Been in many years ago. Then I heard it was taken over as a temperance hotel so avoided it Grin. Again a long time ago, didn't realise it is a normal hotel now. The reception area looks dated as does the rest of it but we are strangely drawn and fancy going for sunday lunch. It's actually in a nice quiet location on a back road.

Fimbo · 24/05/2011 13:42

It's the carpets you could vom on them and no-one would notice. The actual owner of the place gives me the creeps too.

AlistairSim · 25/05/2011 07:34

Go on, adamschic, it's your mumsnet duty!
