Waterloo Road - DVD says it is a 15; how come it is on at 7:30pm?

Just seen at the end of the show that the DVD of the series is a 15 certificate.

However it starts at 7:30pm on a Wednesday night on BBC1.

I thought a 15 would have to be after the watershed.

Or does the DVd have more, over 15 stuff on it?

Maybe the DVD has more stuff, because there's nothing in the telly show that would tip it over the 15 mark.- No strong language or anything like that

Only thing I can think of is maybe a drugs reference/storyline - that might make it a 15. (I've only started watching it this series, so don't know what was in it previously)

I would think maybe a 12 advisary perhaps for some series, but it def isn't as violent or hard hitting as something like Eastenders.

I was just curious really as 9y DD sometimes sees it, or at least bits of it.

When this first started it was on at 9pm and then changed to 8pm and now 7.30! Find that odd!

Its no worse than the soaps though...

I'd say it was better and less of an issue than many of the bigger soaps tbh. Hence wondering about the 15 cert.
