Desperate Housewives - What do we think of this series?

I am finding it a bit boring. I still enjoy the characters and their quirks, but not the events itself (the little that's happening). The last episode for example,

  1. Gabby Solis is mean to her child and learns her lesson after one little incident, then she undergoes a personality transplant and celebrates her child's mediocre performance. Reads like a script for a school play.
  2. Renee realises, also in one incident, that motherhood is not for her. Even though she seems like an intelligent woman and it is something she has been thinking of for years.

I don't understand the point of the current Susan storyline either, does she want to leave the show?

What do others think? I need to find a new favourite show.

Yes, darlene (fab username, BTW :o), I think the music they use in the special K adverts at the beginning is the same or at least suspisciously similar to American Beauty.

Saw the finale - disappointed! The only storyline which seemed realistic was Tom and Lynette - everything else felt a bit farcical and contrived. Think I watch this out of loyalty, and the moments of humour now. As well, will have to join the Fringe, Apprentice and West Wing threads now to make up for it!

I watched the ending last night and thought it was very predictable. I like Brees new friend though, what's he been in?
