ok I know I shouldn't care but I watched this for the first time last night and have a question. Is it real or are they made characters?
And secondly how do all the women keep their hair so perfect?
Again I realise I have too much time on my hands

Only caught this a few times. They must spend ages in make up and where do they get their money to be so done up? Are they wealthy? Surely normal people don't look like them all the time.

DH nearly choked the other night when he realised Gemma is the lady who he bought his car from - she works for BMW apparently. He said she is just as funny and 'Essex' in real life - I did feel sorry for her when Mick walked past her with the champers as I quite like him and Kirk - have a thing for funny noses on men!

Mark's aunt also used to work at the place DH does - someone told him to look out for her as she was stunning and was only employed for her looks - think the person who must have employed her for her looks was blind because she looks like a rough essex bar maid after a hard night on the booze - also looks like she forgot to put her spanx on - that or is quite pregnant and it just isn't mentioned - lycra and huge bellies - bad news!

Joey Essex poor him is going to be distraught when Sam goes back to Mark - who I actually quite like in a weird way - he looks like one of my first boyfriends.

Blimey I could talk about TOWIE all day. I may go and see if I can watch the whole of the first series from the beginning.

when Sam goes back to Mark Yes i can totally see that happening too. I think there is more of a thing between those two than between Mark and Lauren, i dont think their relationship is healthy at all [M&L]

He (Mark) was sooo out of order telling her not to be there, EVERYONE was there even Nanny Pat FFS :)
I think the arguement and the push in the pool may have be created for our entertainment though :) and indeed it did.
Hope Lydia holds it together and doesn't take Arg back, I think he is totally influenced by Mark and last nights shinanigans proved how awful he is (goading Lydia whilst drunk about Amy)
BTW lurrve Amy she was brilliant sorting him out and backing up her girl!

Its gonna be a long summer can't wait for September.... although looking forward to Made in Chelsea on monday :)

I love this show.

I nearly exploded with excitement when I went to visit my aunt in Chigwell, we were talking about TOWIE and she said, nonchalantly, that Mark's mum lived round the corner. You could see her back garden if you stood on the garden chair craned your neck.

I like Lauren. I feel very sorry for her, she seems so insecure around Mark.

Amy is very sweet - such a lovely giggle.

Sam and her sister look freaky, all stretched skin, think they look like a younger version of the bride of wildenstein.

Who is the strange looking one with a Lesley Ash top lip and missing teeth? She is odd.

I like Gemma.

Getorf - that is Chloe (she of the missing teeth)

Gemma is lovely but jeeeeez louise, she needs to learn to have a little bit o'mystery about her when it comes to the Mick man action.

I am loving picturing you standing on the garden chair hoping for a peek of Mark

I was ver pissed and was squawking 'I can't SEE' and my aunt dragged me down (and fed me more gin)

Then we sat there and completely slagged Mark's mum off. She is a cow.

Jessica Wright is a beauty, though, isn't she? I think she is by far the best looking girl on the show.

Jessica Wright is absolutely stunning (wears a tad too much make up - which she clearly does'nt need)

Someone that works at my dh's firm is apparently going out with Arg so it sounds like Lydia and him aren't back together. He has been absolutely useless at getting any details though.
