Ooh I know that guy! He was Rex on The Secret Life of Us!

ohboob · 19/04/2011 22:51

AFAIK RL Libby going off with RL Rebecca's man happened a few years ago. She is now dating someone else who used be on Neighbours (as Tag? Tad? One of those names)
Tash is such a nightmare. Her father is the most terrible parent!
And I wish Rebecca hadn't left. She was great, wrap dresses and all. But leaving like that and dumping Kate in it was pretty vile. They seemed to have rushed through that storyline pretty quickly, meh.
I can't wait to see the big reveal with Sonya and Callum. Normally I read spoilers but I refuse to this time.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 19/04/2011 23:49

I am so glad that the fake pregnancy was finally uncovered today.

auntpetunia · 20/04/2011 07:46

Did anyone else notice that when Summer was in Charlie's on the phone to Lynn (when did she go away) she actually mentioned Oscar. People seem to be leaving without any fuss. So glad Tash was outed today.

anonacfr · 20/04/2011 08:06

I can't believe Tash thinks her having to fake a pregnancy is Andrew's fault.
She deceived countless people including her father, she made Andrew think he was going to be a dad knowing all the issues he had with his own father, not to mention getting him to turn down a great job opportunity and spend all his savings, but it wasn't her fault?
And now we're all expected to feel sorry for her because she's moping around looking miserable?
From the previews it looks like Michael will forgive her by the end of the episode after Lucas' 'pep talk'

MigratingCoconuts · 20/04/2011 08:29

I also think 'crappy' dad award should go to Michael. He's always been far too forgiving of her selfish behaviour. i liked the line about how tash had learned this from him/Rebecca when tash had been up to this one long before any of that came out.

Why can't he just accept that Tash is a brat of the highest order??

Cattleprod · 20/04/2011 08:36

ohboob, Tad was Toadie's cousin(?) who later came to the UK and appeared in '2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps', and Taj was the student Libby slept with that led to Susan getting all judgy (again) and not speaking to her for several weeks.

lazarusb · 20/04/2011 11:24

The trouble with Neighbours is it either drags out a storyline for months on end or it rushes it through. Given Kate's recent situation the Australian legal system is either extremely lax (she lied about a suspected attempted murder!) or very efficient (how quick was she let off the hook!).

vmcd28 · 20/04/2011 14:59

"Natasha is a lying moll"?!?!?! Hahahahahaha! Great comeback, Andrew :)

anonacfr · 20/04/2011 15:30

I know it's not meant to be realistic but how come no-one's more shocked at Tash FAKING A BLOODY PREGNANCY!!!!
Michael and Andrew seem to be the only ones who are bothered- Lucas spent the whole episode telling M to get over it and Susan went all lovely with Tash, telling Michael it was because of his daughter he got re-instated. How exactly? Tash was sulking claiming that if her father had a job he wouldn't have enough time to be mad at her. Susan was the one who talked to the students while Tash was moping at home.

And surely someone should send her to see a councillor or something???? I mean she FAKED A BLOODY PREGNANCY!

MigratingCoconuts · 20/04/2011 18:24

I just love that susan, once again 'saved the day'...always on hand to stick her beaky in.

anonacfr · 20/04/2011 18:48

Yes- and she was allowed to go and sit in the phantom replacement principal's office for about 5mns, in which time she managed to interview all the students who'd signed the petition, call all their parents and all the teachers (ie Lucas) and arrange an appointment with the school inspector (or whatever he is).

Good going.

TartyMcFarty · 20/04/2011 20:27

Hahaha! I love that we're all taking this so seriopusly. Women after my own heart Grin

auntpetunia · 21/04/2011 07:57

Ha Tarty I know what you mean in RL I know no one who would watch it, but I am hooked.

"hello my name is Auntpetunia and I

prettybird · 21/04/2011 12:55

Glad I am not the only one who thinks Michael is a bad parent. It's his faultresponsibility that Tash has been adeveloped into such a self-centred bitch teenager. Hmm

When she stole the money for the school social just so that Andrew wouldn't spend so much time with SUmmer, her father should have come down on her like a ton of bricks. Instead, he colluded with her in hiding the real reason why she had been suspended.

I had even thought about starting a thread in AIBU to think that Michael shared the responsibility for Tash's behaviour. Yes, life is tohugh as a single parent - but he obvioulsy hasn't imparted any proper values into her.

But then I though I really should get a life! Grin

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 21/04/2011 14:58

Doesn't Andrew look like that Ozzy snooker player....

Does Andrew eventually get back with Summer - I hope so

beachholiday · 21/04/2011 22:07

Michael and Libby will of course get together. Any male teacher that comes to Erinsborough is contractually obliged to fall for Libby. Unfortunately we will have to endure their extremely drawn-out realisation that the real reason they annoy each other so much is the depth of their feelings for each other etc etc etc.

Libby is so annoying she almost deserves to be Natasha's stepmother.

Shoesytwoesy · 21/04/2011 22:11

I like Libby
no one deserves Task she is the school bully we all knew.
but summer needs a haircut,

vmcd28 · 22/04/2011 07:36

Susan went thru a phase of being lovely but she's turned into an interfering busybody again.

I have to say I don't like Libby much, can't put my finger on what it is though

MigratingCoconuts · 22/04/2011 08:12

yes! I kept wanting to hack that fringe off Summer's face...its in her eyes dammit!

TortoiseVEasterBunny · 22/04/2011 08:31

I love neighbours!
Why is Andrew's name never shortened like others names are? And the D always over emphasised! Really bugs me.

vmcd28 · 22/04/2011 09:12

I love Andrew's mad accent . It wasn't so Scottish at the start but he obviously just gave up trying to tone it down.

Can someone remind me what Paul and Oliver fell out about?

Does anyone remember when Carmella was a nun? [bugrin]

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 22/04/2011 11:16

Carmella was a nun?? [bushock] That must have been in the Interregnum Years, when I wasn't watching Neighbours (but I am all better now)!

MigratingCoconuts · 22/04/2011 11:22

yes she was!!! (but not very convincing to be fair)

Do I rememebr rightly that Oliver had a half step brother thingy who had all the money, and something meant they needed to get rid of the actor...so they invented a new Oliver and pretended the first actor had been impersonating him as he was a bit mad.

(or did I dream that??)

vmcd28 · 23/04/2011 13:39

No, coconuts, but you're close!
Oliver's brother arrived to house share with Fraser, Rosie and Pepper. He was v v rich as he had inherited the family fortune, but pretended to be a "normal " person called Will. It all came out that he was wealthy and was actually called Sebastian. I believe Oliver then got all the money (not sure why)
