Just how shite an actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers was. I've only watched a few of these and while they are enjoyable old pants, his performance is actually laugh-out-loud funny for much of the time. I also love the tudor soldiers exclaiming "oh shit" and "fucking hell". Great stuff!

yeah JRM acting is getting worse, and are his lips getting bigger , i thought his acting in this weeks episode was particularly crap, it seems he is ok at playing the flirtatious hunk but not alot else! still going to watch it though!

in the last episode Charles Brandon actually looks like that big hairy bear thing from Star wars (chew bacca???)

"in the last episode Charles Brandon actually looks like that big hairy bear thing from Star wars (chew bacca???)"

I still would though :)

JRM is really struggling with that accent - a bit Larry Olivier as Henry V, then Marlon Brando in the Godfather, then he gives up and goes Irish. And Prince Edward sounds American and puts in an appalling performance. And Bolougne was spectacularly bad - reminded me of the Blue Peter historical inserts circa early 80s. Fantastic!

I was watching Series 3 yesterday.

I actually snorted at Colm Wilson talking about his fellow Englishmen in a very strong Irish accent, but then as I know him as Jean Valjean I was also waiting for him to boom out songs from Les Miserable.

Twas very distracting.
