Not much I bet, compared to celebs in general. She seemed very nervy to me, as though she was wittering on without really thinking what she was saying.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/03/2011 14:22

I've only seen one episode. I haven't missed one have I?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 13/03/2011 14:23

No, the second one is on Tuesday.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/03/2011 16:25

Cheers. I watched the first on replay so wasn't sure when it was actually on!

BringBackGoingForGold · 13/03/2011 16:59

I loved Daria! I thought she seemed quite demob happy. The arsehole choreographer's bitchiness seemed to be water off a duck's back. I guess she's heard it all at that stage in her career.

TheFarSide · 15/03/2011 22:13

Anyone else lusting after those nubile young men doing Romeo & Juliet (or is it just me)?

RustyRainbow · 15/03/2011 22:18

I cannot believe how little they look after the bodies of the dancers (male and female)...if they were athletes they would be in ice baths and having massages all the time...

Keep meaning to catch up on it.

BIL and v soon to be SIL (getting married in a few weeks) were on it last week. They were with ENB for a while. They're both dancing out in Oz now (SIL to be is Australian).

RustyRainbow · 15/03/2011 22:19

Yes and loved the patrick swayze lookalike lead dancer Grin

southeastastra · 15/03/2011 22:21

max was very um watchable Grin

sad how they have so many cuts and the pay!!

surely someone loaded could invest to keep it going without redundancies or salary losses

TheFarSide · 15/03/2011 22:26

Yes - they are only £600k short which is probably pocket money to city bankers. I would hate to see dancers made redundant - there aren't exactly load of jobs around for them.

ShowyTech · 15/03/2011 22:29

BIL has danced with several big companies. Sadly things like pay cuts, funding problems, pay not turning up etc are very, very common.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/03/2011 23:02

Gutted for Daniel at the end.

southeastastra · 16/03/2011 08:11

i felt sorry for him, he seemed to be the only one really worried about the cuts, good looking too wasn't he with his eyeliner Grin

they're so brilliant - such a great show

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/03/2011 21:16

Just seen it. Poor tybalt with his hernia. Sad surely that's his career over.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 16/03/2011 21:25

The ENB website still has him listed as part of the company, but his bit says he has been producing films and documentaries, so it sounds as that's the direction he's going in, good luck to him, it must be horrendous when you get injured like that.

Right there with you, Rusty. I was speechless at his utter self-absorption.

CaveMum · 22/03/2011 22:29

Surely any of us mere mortals would have been sacked for not, um, doing our job like that choreographer?!

Felt very sorry for the shoe lady too Sad

Fabulous series, a shame they've only made 3.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 23/03/2011 07:18

DH and I were sat there muttering "What a wanker". Saved by his hard working dancers there. Glad it all came good for them in the end, it was sad seeing Daria so crushed in that last rehearsal.

DilysPrice · 23/03/2011 07:28

I think I've watched too many fake documentary style dramas, I kept expecting them to walk into a room and find the choreographer strangled with a set of pink ribbons. Not that I'd blame the culprit if they did.

RustyRainbow · 23/03/2011 08:38

He could just about get away with his attitude if he was brilliant at what he does - but he wasn't. He just thought he was.

There's not a jury in the land would have convicted the Set Design lady if she'd have shoved the balloon up his arse....

OP posts:
RustyRainbow · 23/03/2011 08:39

The costumes were amazing though - and the set design.

OP posts:
ohboob · 23/03/2011 12:18

It was a shambles last night wasn't it? I felt so sorry for the dancers who couldn't get any rehearsal time, but who are looking to make their mark and get noticed by the critics.

They are all so talented.

mousymouse · 24/03/2011 15:07

I just watched on the iplayer.
what a moron, the choreographer. everyone was sooo stressed out by him.

I admired the strength of the dancer returning from maternity leave. must be tough childcare wise with all the unregular hours.
