this has to be the worst design for fluidity i ever have seen on GD. Kevin has let himself down on this one, probably because pat is such a nice person.
looks like theyre in legal procedings with the fogged out builders !

why didnt they have an architect to follow "good practise" on site. for all that money its just seems mad not to have a professional following through on the job to ensure its built correctly.

Not convinced she liked it.

I didn't like it but was impressed with the old girl. They really should have had an engineer on board to help.

Oh bugger! I LOVE GD! Have watched it since it started & now that we live in Spain I can't get to see it anymore! Will have to wait for it to be released on DVD. Big pink house, mmn, was it really dire?

SHe was amazing wasn't she. I do think she was shafted a bit, why was she having to pay for mistakes made by others. Architect was useless IMO. The copper roof and curves were lovely but that conservatory did look really strange just stuck on teh side.

What an fantastic location though.

never seen this programme before, but he is a great presenter isn't he?
I think the programme should be called "Why Not To Build Your Own House" though - what a nightmare. not sure about the house, it was a bit PINK... and not at all sure it was a top idea for a 78 year old woman to build a spiral staircase. (do I sound like my mother?)
