MrsDrOwenHunt, thanks for the long, long post. I have just read it. I am going to print it out and read it together with my DH who is Muslim. We watched 'The Promise' and really enjoyed it.

Thanks for that mrshunt I have been wanting to read that since the weekend but couldn't handle it on my phone. It doesn't make for very encouraging reading but very interesting to fill the gap between the 40's and the present.

I have never really understood why the Isrealis feel they have a right to behave the way they do and although I deplore violence and terrorism it is much easier to see why the Palestinians feel justified in resorting to it. IDK It's a shit storm and no mistake and I can't see it getting much better. Fascinating drama, thought the last episode was brilliant and very moving.

watched the last one yesterday, made me cry for the last half hour, so brilliant and well written - hope they commission more of these types of drama.

also made understanding the situation easier.
