I can't find a thread?

I used to think I would give my last penny to see a Pulp reuniion and, I havent even bothered to buy tickets its strange isnt it? but, I think the past should be left alone. I dont want to see any more mid-life crisis reunions.

I was so pleased that Arcade Fire won! "The Suburbs" is one of my favourite albums ever.

I know two people have already answered you ceebeegeebees but never heard of Biffy Clyro? They're a they btw, not a he, and they've released five albums since they formed in 1995. And they sold out Wembley Arena last December (I was there).
So you can't really consider yourself 'on the pulse' at all if you've never heard of them
They're far more deserving of a nomination than Matt Cardle, who's released on song and it's not even his.

I'm there for the Smiths reunion. I would LOVE that.

Also, I'm pretty sure their nomination had more to do with their last album, Only Revolutions, doing really well and being nominated for the 2010 Mercury Prize, and selling out bigger and bigger venues last year. They've really taken off recently in rock and alternative circles.

@ Laura Marling being described as "the miserable pale lass". I dislike purely because her album has such a pretentious title -'I Speak Because I Can'. Just how 6th Form is that?

I've never liked that title either. Sixth Form is a very apt description.

I am only 32 so would have been a kid when they were around - I only got into them in 1993 after Kurt Cobain died but have been obsessed with them every since.

Smiths reunion will never happen. But I would sell my house for a ticket.
Also would give my right arm for a Stone Roses reunion.

Wasn't the biggest fan tbh. I think they was just TOO loud to be in the least bit enjoyable really. They were the only ones - all the other acts you could actually distinguish voices and the volume was fine, but they just seemed to have turned it up to 11...

Tinie Tempah was excellent, actually all the acts were fab- Tinie's light show was quite something. The only act that didn't quite pull it off were Mumford and Sons, not because of the music at all, but the venue was just too cavernous for their little set - they just looked swamped. Though that may because because they contrasted so strongly with everyone else's set-filling extravaganzas!

Getorf - I must be ancient then.

We only saw half the set though as morrissey walked off after 6 ish songs and didn't come back. It was queen is dead tour and they split up not long after. Stil was amazing though.
