Im just watching the first episode of Curb your Enthusiasm and, Im not sure if I like it or not.

No, I'm only up to number five. I'm really enjoying in. He always looks like he's about to laugh. Do you think they just have an outline of the story and then just wing it?

I think there is an element of winging it, yes, but they loosely script it first. I love Jeff's wife "You fat fuck!!"

I think if you like Seinfeld there's a good chance you can grow to love Curb. It's very different, and utterly cringey, but great in its own way. I love the agent's wife the best - just the way she shouts at Larry :D

CYE is a work of genius. Unfortunately, noone I know agrees with me.

Susie (Jeff's harpie wife) is indeed a top bird. I'm also quite partial to Leon (who appears in later series).

Oh I LOVE this. Have got them all on DVD and me and DD have marathon CYE sessions. Best American comedy ever I think.

DP cannot bear it, he cringes in horrified embarassment and cannot watch it.

I love Curb, there are a few episodes that I don't think work and didn't particularly like the season with The Blacks but overall its hilarious.

Had to say I'ver stumbled upon this a few times, and find other things to watch quite quickly. I'm no prude as far as language is concerned but just found it made me cringe and was rather shocked it had been allowed out in the US, though assume it was only on cable, which would explain it...

(Guess the bible belt might have managed to block it, even if on cable.)

Its on HBO which ime seems to allow all kinds of things that wouldn't get on UK TV.

A fair number of items from HBO have been on UK TV over the years, so any examples of things which you think might not have been shown here, please?

Network Guy I think Family Guy and American Dad get quite near the knuckle sometimes. I don't think British tv companies would have risked either of those. Same goes for South Park.
