Do you think that new blond pathologist (Harry and leos student) could be the long lost missing son???

KurriKurri · 01/02/2011 18:16

I don't think so isthismadness (although I wouldn't put anything past the script writers) because the boy went missing 15 years ago, aged about 10(?), I don't he'd be old enough to have got his medical degree then trained as a pathologist and got a job where he's earning 3 times as much as Harry.

Do you think he has saucy intentions towards Nicky?

Raahh · 01/02/2011 18:24

I LOVE pathologisingGrin

Yup, they really do need to get on with the pathologising!!

And I hope new blond bloke isn't going to get it on with Nikki. That would be soooooo dull and Harry would sulk more than he already does

Yes that is true

But please can Harry and Nicky just get it on soon and put us out of our misery!

Flisspaps · 01/02/2011 20:14

isthis I did wonder that. He doesn't look very old, and given that the Ambassador is clearly about 70 and that there are pathologists running round being coppers, it wouldn't be beyond the writers...

annh · 01/02/2011 20:20

Last night was all over the place. I'm prepared to suspend belief a bit when it comes to TV programmes but this was taking the biscuit! Someone else mentioned the anomoly of the ambassador apparently living at the embassy rather than somewhere else - and the dining room appeared to be just off the main entrance where the public come in, really, I mean really? To whoever asked about the lack of queue, i think that was supposed to be because the incident happened on a Sunday. I couldn't make the ages of the ambassador's children match up either. His son disappeared 15 years ago, aged 8. In the flashbacks, the sister, Klara, only looked the same age but supposing she was 10, that means she is now 25, also with an 8 year old son? Not impossible of course, but probably unlikely for a diplomatic brat. And Mary (was she a nanny?) didn't seem to have aged more than a few years in the intervening 15. Just a complete mish-mash of characters with no attempt to make sense of any of it, almost as if the creators just thought we wouldn't notice!

isthismadness · 01/02/2011 21:06

He does have blue eyes....

Raahh · 01/02/2011 21:07

Jacob = new pathologist
Deffo

Raahh · 01/02/2011 21:15

New pathologist looks older than 23 though, surely?

He is vair tall. Makes harry look really shrimpy....

OP posts:
Raahh · 01/02/2011 21:20

Just realised Jacob was older than 8- getting my missing children mixed up, so maybe....

OP posts:
isthismadness · 01/02/2011 21:27

Yeah. Not possible to become a pathologist at age 23....

And gutted Harry does look small. I heart him!!

isthismadness · 01/02/2011 21:31

That ambassador looks well dodgy

isthismadness · 01/02/2011 21:59

Hmm ok so I was wrong.
Good episode

Ingles2 · 01/02/2011 22:00

so how come it's fine to show a really heavily pregnant Nicky Alexander this week then?
Did you just see her in gorgeous strapless dress when Leo picked up his MBE?

Madigan · 01/02/2011 22:02

Did anyone else think Nicky looked like she was pregnant in this episode and not in previous ones??????? She was deffo wearing maternity tops... did not notice that yesterday ... or am I going mad?

Madigan · 01/02/2011 22:03

ok so not just me then ........

well how is that meant to work, when she is not (obviously) pregnant in part one yesterday, and v heavily pregnant this evening???

isthismadness · 01/02/2011 22:04

And why was leos wife not there picking up his mbe??

OntheQT · 01/02/2011 22:07

Nicky is very pregnant looking at the end of that. Are we supposed to have just not noticed?

KurriKurri · 01/02/2011 22:13

I thought that too isthismadness maybe she was fed up with him pretending he might not accept it.

All that stuff about they weren't able to get a clear blood match 15 years ago because of limited techniques blah blah blah was surely complete bollocks - it was 1996, not the fifties.

And what was that business about Diedrich (sp?) having a massive face lift? - he should have asked for his money back - he looked exactly the same.

BrokenBananaTantrum · 01/02/2011 22:17

I want to know where Jack got the gun to shoot his mum. Dietricts gun jammed and his mum still had the other. Where did the third gun come from?

Guacamole · 01/02/2011 22:23

Good point banana!

I was totally unimpressed by the whole series, I used to like Silent Witness! :(

KurriKurri · 01/02/2011 22:36

Good point banana - how many guns were there? only Diedrich's and Craig's, and she was shot with D's because IIRC they couldn't initially identify the fancy bullet in her shoulder.

deepdarkwood · 01/02/2011 23:26

Ha, me & DH also wanted to know why Nikki was suddenly pregnant, and where Leo's wife had scarpered off to. This is officially, however, a detective show now, not a pathology show. Grump.

DandyDan · 02/02/2011 10:01

Leo is not married to Janet - that's not a reason why she wasn't there for his MBE though.

I believe Jack picked up the jammed gun and it unjammed.

The whole explanation for the deaths and the shootings was unfeasible and annoying, but it was a weak spot in a generally good season.
