Is there a thread on last night's Mary Queen of Shops?

Because, honestly, she came off like a total idiot. All that fake omigod, they are hard selling and making fake offers rubbish. I felt so sorry for that bloke - all that display space she made him turn into a 'mood area' with printable ideas - does she not know that it will be a magnet to bored kids? Printing costs alone will bankrupt him!

I caught 5 mins of it and had to turn over. It was a load of rubbish. She criticised them for showing her masculine sofas. Confused They looked perfectly unisex to me.

I think she is completely clueless about what people actually want. I don't go to a furniture warehouse with no clue about the size shape or colour of sofa I want, and if a salesman said 'have this twenty footer' I hope I'd have the sense to say 'that's too big for my house'. Idiocy. Mary has lost the plot.

completely agree with previous comments. I'm quite capable of working that out for myself without having some fancy design station thing.

Also there's not a lot of content in it - loads of filling material, repeated vox pops and undercover footage, and those dreadful 3 min long summaries after the break. I know a lot of programmes do this but it seems even worse than usual. The ad break has only been a few minutes, I am not yet senile, I can remember what happened before the break without endless reminders. Angry

I tend to have a pretty good idea about the sofa I want before I enter the shop. If they want to do the hard sell I don't mind (I would only buy a sofa I want!) because they get paid by commission and have bills to pay.

I watched all of last weeks programme and it would have really benefited from only being half an hour long.

This is the first time I haven't liked a programme with Mary Portas. I'm very disappointed so far.

Glad i wasn't alone - agree with Mary - totally disappointed for the first time.

i did like the ideas the bloke came up with about the prices at the end that the sofa costs what it costs that, that it has never been reduced ect, but then that was the guys idea.

Was shocked at how much the top salesman said he was making in a year though - wow!

We started watching it last night on Replay and had to switch it off. I felt really sorry for those blokes at CSL. I've never seen such an enthusiastic bunch of salesmen. They didn't deserve to be treated that way.

I love Mary Portas but I think she was really wide of the mark with this one.

I watched it last week and decided it wasnt for me and I love Mary Portas, she should just stick to watch she does best, revamping shops.
