Anyone else a fan of Criminal Minds? New series starts on Friday and I can't wait

Lived it. Thought jj's performance was great, very moving. Thoughtmorgan was great too. However just couldn'tbeliwve the little girl would show such little fear. She had just watched this man rape her aunt and murder her father. She would have been errified.

I loved how they let the girl be sensible, and not just a pathetic screamer. I'm sure she was terrified but doesn't mean she has to fall apart IMHO.

Actually managed to get me to sympathise with the baddie.. to be child handed over by your prostitute mother to her pervert john's, is truly awful and I'm sure would make monsters out of most.

I haven't watched this since series 3 but seeing this thread made me revisit the show and I remember how good it is!

Really liked JJ's performance too although Garcia just annoys me for some reason. I'm gonna have to rent the series so I can catch up now.

Ive missed it, is it repeated? Want to start watching the series in order. The problem I had before was I series linked it and it recorded everyhting, all the different series that was shown, I had no idea what was what lol. Which may explain why I ended up with 80 episodes on my Sky plus box, which DH was not happy with, a lot of them were doublers mind you!

does anyone else feel a tiny bit sorry for some of the killers too? like the prince of darkness, he stood no chance at all.

I watched a really old episode last night (it must have been old, Morgan had loads of hair!) and at the end the psycho serial killer said to Hotch something along the lines of most people with my background would grow up to be a killer and Hotch replied not everyone, some grow up to catch them indicating he had a terrible childhood too.

It's that I find interesting. Why is it that two people who have similar experiences react in Totally different ways?

I know that Morgan was sexually abused - not sure about the childhood experiences of others.

In my job I see people all the time who have had very similar experiences taking polar opposite paths - I think it has a lot to do with having at least one person in your life who is willing to love you unconditionally and be a positive role model - when children have only a host of negative influences it does not bode well for their adult mental health.

Oooh yes i love show, and watched fridays episode. Quick question, as i have dipped in out of the previous series, (although now have series link on this one) the reaper, was he caught, and did hotch/hautch, get his family back?

Cookie I can't honestly remember if the caught the reaper as I missed a few episodes but he killed hotch's wife at the end of the series before this one I think. He now looks after his son. Very sad.

I didn't know Morgan had been abused? Do you know which series it was revealed in?

twofalls - for my sins, I am a social worker by trade, although I now review the care arrangemtns for children who are looked after by the local authority.

I've watched this from the very beginning and absolutely love it. Spencer Reid for me all the way too, although I disagree with whoever it was that said it got better after Gideon left. It's different, but not necessarily better. (Am big Mandy Patinkin fan.....loved, loved, loved "Dead Like Me", although doubt anyone else will have ever heard of it!)
