Dullest Childrens' Telly

Not the worst, the most boring. I mean, I detest ITNG, but it's at least a little bit interesting, even if it is just spending the time wondering what the hell the writers were on.

My vote goes to The Large Family.

It is the dullest shite ever to grace television. It's just about a dull, boring family, the only edge they appear to have is that they're elephants.
Mrs Large is just so fucking wet. Why the hell does she care what her arsehole neighbours think? They're arseholes, and everyone knows it. Even their son knows his parents are arseholes.
She lets her kids walk all over her as well. it's no wonder the eldest is such a little shit.
Also, what does Mr. Large do? I don't recall ever see him do anything but read the paper. I think he goes to work, but he's just such a non character.

I kind of get that they are meant to just be an average family, but IME, no RL family is that dull.

Whoever said Come Outside is depressing is on the money. It's very downbeat. It's like the film Kes. Everything is grey and sad.

Mabel's grubby eighties decor makes me shudder, but it's usually quite interesting ( poo episode aside!)

Mama Mirabelle - zzzz. Ditto Waybulo - beyond tedium. And Dirt Girl World - what on earth is that all about, vaguely suspect title and all?

The Numberjacks put me and dd into a coma which is annoying because it's on at exactly the time I want five minutes peace. Inflatable numbers wandering about foiling the plans of some pointless enemy.

Turgid, inexplicable, futile.

Btw the woman who writes Grandpa In My Pocket is on Twitter and she's even smugger than the script.

I too adore Ben & Holly, Nanny Plum is awesome, and the actress who does the voice is Mrs.Rabbit in Peppa Pig as well where she is equally as amusing. Love Charlie and Lola too.

10am - 12noon on cbeebies is so dull, only noticed recently when we had some illness and weren't doing usual activities but it goes:

Yoko Yakamoto Toto which I am not sure is on so much is definitely one of the oddest, I watch it and when it is finished have NO CLUE what it was about, same with Octonauts and Nina too come to think of it.

I LOVE Come Outside though! I think the melancholy comes from Aunty Mable living on her own and investing so much in a dog...and her house is an OLD persons house.

Captain Mack is a whole new shitfest of shitness though, the worst programme ever. And both my dd's love it so I have to watch it every fucking day in life.

And don't even get me started on the apparently neverending parade of fucking Barbie movies on Nick Jnr at the moment. I swear, I'm selling my tv...

Max and Fecking Ruby. I hate everything about it and that horrible little shit cheeky little Max is the worst of the lot. I think they look sinister and evil but my dd ADORES it

I find Thomas The Tank Engine really dull!

I used to hate Little Einsteins until my 4 year old impressed her teacher by recognising and naming 'the flight of the bumble bee' in class. DD later told me it was off this show.

Now I think anything that makes her look smart and me look cultured is genius!

I agree doradaisy about Nanny Plum from Ben and Holly being a highly entertaining character. She has great lines. Also a fan of the humour in Peppa Pig - especially Daddy Pig.

Another vote for Large family being really dull and Lazy Town is just switched off in this household. Quite like Grandpa in My Pocket though.

Am going to go agaisnt the tide here and say that I LOVE The Large Family. Most of the rest of it is dull.

What i really hate at the moment is the Disney channel shite - Hannah Montana, Wizards of waverley place and worse - all with lots of horribly cute American teenagers

I'm sorry but I will NOT hear a word against Come Outside. You're talking about Nurse Gladys Emmanuel after all and any dissing of her is blasphemy.

However The Large Family is full of Daily Mail values as is Grandpa in my Pocket - the latter is especially heinous. Females are silly and like dancing and make-believe. Men REALLY know what's going on and do useful mechanical things and solve all the problems. HATE HATE HATE.

Also hate Squiglet and Waybuloo for their torturing of the English language. WTF is wrong with crayons and yoga?
