I used to love this show. Probably the first 2 series were pretty good. Does anyone feel that the recipients of the cash must know or have an idea that the person who turns up with a camera crewe is a SM?

I also don't get how people openly tell the SM about their charities finances within a day or so of meeting them.

Mohammed Sarwar has been the consituency MP for the last 3 elections. His attendance at Westmeinster is shocking poor: according to "They Work for you" he voted in under 50% of the votes in the 97-2001 parliament, 60% in the next parliament and 57% so far this year.

He was my MP until the changed the boundary in 2001.

Nicola Sturgeon is now the consituency MSP (previously I think was was only the list MSP), since the last Scottish election. Previos to that it was a Labour MSP (Gordon Jackson).

To be fair on both Nicola and Gordon, Govan has been seriously deprived for many many years - effectively ever since the shipbuilding industry died (hanging on by a thread with the current Navy contracts).

There have been lots of initiatives to try to re-generate Govan - in fact the Glasgow Garden Festival was one all those years ago. The BBC mving to Pacific Quay in a sense was another - they got a lot of encouragement to do so. The house values are going up in the area, so maybe it is having an effect.

I know the senior guy at Govan Law Centre - he does do a lot of good work championing the underdog - and yes, he is a very nice guy :) (happen to disagree with his politics, by there you go Wink)
