a)she looks stoned
b) has she had work done to her pretty face?

That Botox look isn't youth is it.

It is something else entirely. Looks older than not having it.

Maybe she's learned to act?

Could that be it? Or too far beyond the realms of possibility?

I saw her on the telly last week and immediately thought 'mumsnet'.

She has had loads of work done, and looks terrible. She was very pretty and should have left herself alone.

Mind you, she has always been an ultra annoying actress in my mind, verging on Keira Knightly/Winona Ryder/Thandie Newton territory.

DH and I have been scrutinising that ad for days now. We couldn't even decide if it was her at first because she looks a totally different person! I think maybe collagen in the lips in addition to masses of Botox?

I didn't recognise it was her I thought it was some odd lady that I'd never heard of. Blimey.

Which ad is it so I can look out for it?

Leaving her looks aside for a minute, I just went and had a little wiki about her, and OMG has anyone seen The Tribe? Apparently there is a threesome scene in it between her, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jeremy Northam?

I haven't seen her on anything lately but I do quite like her.

Did any of you see her on Jonathan Ross a while back? She was actually gushing about living in Hollywood (under the sign apparently) and about how basically she's stopped eating - she had obviously spoken about some awful smoothie thing she eats/drinks (it was green, you can imagine how awful) and Jonathan produced it and had a bit.

IMO she's in Hollywood, is absolutely over the moon at having 'made it' and can't stop going on about it. So now's she not eating a la LA, botoxing a la LA and god knows what other work she's had done to fit in with the bizarre women over there.

Always thought she was just a pretty girl, reckon she'll end up looking like Jackie Stallone before she's 40.

Well she went to America didn't she....and stared messing with her lovely face. Def hadher teeth done and maybe botox? Prob to get that part on Pushing Daisies.

but wasnt she always quite hippyish and down to earth? and, her husband seems to be the same.

Its a crying shame how she has ruined herself like that. I doubt she would get work in this country now. She always wanted to be taken seriously as an actress, I suspect she ended up with David Thewlis because he was an actor in the proper sense. Mind you, have you seen the state of him now? the age gap is more apparent.

But she is working in this country kittya! Isn't she working in the West End? Or am I mistaken . I really do think its such a shame.

And to Anna Friel, if you ever read this, I'm so sorry if I've hurt your feelings, but you were so pretty and natural looking before and now you are spoiled And the reason I guess I care, because I haven't actually seen you act in anything post Brookside, is that I think its tragic that this has become the media norm.

she was in an episode of 'the Street' 2 years ago as a prostitute and she was not as plastic then.. have to laugh at people saying she should age gracefully, surely 35 not really an old lady yet (desparate emoticon) ?

no freckly, of course 35 is not old (speaking as a 44 year old ) but we are ALL ageing all the time and what is wrong with looking like a beautiful 35 year old rather than trying to recapture your teens or twenties? I guess I mean it would be wonderful to accept the ways in which our bodies change without having doctors stick needles in it and resorting to surgical change.
