As an aside, as it is elton week, it has been announced that the John Lewis ad will be shown during the show- and the song on the ad is Ellie Goulding's version of 'your song'.

(This is interesting to me, anyway, as i worked for JL for 10 years til this year, and the Christmas ads have been quite good- also inpressed that they got it shown appropriately during Elton week)

why did you give JL up? Im being nosy now, thought they were great to work for.

Kittya I left because the job i did was going, and there wasn't a real alternative, - and it coincided with ending up pg with dc3- we did the maths and decided it was time to leave. I miss the people, but not the job really. Miss the buzz of retail at Christmas, though.

Did love it though for most of the time though.

OOh, and just read that back- by doing the maths (before this becomes a benefits thread, lol!), it would have cost me more to get to work, and get child care, than i would have earned.

Yes,Geoerge Michael slated it last year, was a real sell out to see a man who wouldn't even appear in his own videos for years, suddenly on the most commercial of programmes!!
