I was a bit cross that they didn't show you how to restore the rusty fireplace (apart from, er, pay someone else to), or get that gorgeous floor looking so good.

The house was indeed gorgeous but I was somewhat at the 'reveal' when there seemed to have been a lot of serious renovation going on that hadn't of course, been mentioned. Like the amazing parquet floor in the hall - that isn't something you slap down in 5 minutes (voice of bitter experience here). They do like to give the impression that a couple of coats of Farrow and Ball will have it looking pristine in no time. Sadly, it ain't so.....

Stupid hat, boring program, had to turn it off.

I can't bear her clothes. The worst fashion insult I ever received was when a "friend" said that she thought I'd like Kirstie's clothes. I sat through Location etc & was appalled. She then said that she thought I'd like her coats. They are the worst! I stopped wearing my pink Boden coat immediately!

I have to say I love her and what she does!

I think the point of the programme is a little lost as the fact of it is that old furniture is not always cheaper but will be better quality than flatpack. EG A 5 drawer chest in Ikea is 85 and you could get an old solid wood one for that. On the curtains front I think its the same yes you can defantly buy them cheaper than getting the fabric ect but the ones you buy for cheaper will not be of the same quality fabric ect.

I want to see her do an average 3 bed redrow semi style house or modern appartment to see if it still works. I live in a faceless terrace and always think it wont!

Love Kirsty too, just my cup of earl grey . Apart from some of the clothes, that weirdy 1980s jacket in the last series of Location? Or the orrible white plastic necklace she wouldn't take off for weeks.

I don't see why the second hand junk look doesn't work in a more modern house. I like to think it does in my weeny bungalow. do agree though that she's spending too much time faffing with vile candles and not enough on actual renovation stuff. Had she actually even been to the last house?
