I read a thing today which claimed that Katie was definitely well known to all the big names in x factor before the auditions. She sings in a band in America apparently. Or summat.

I thought you couldn't go on xfactor if you already had a recording contract...which I was lead to believe Katie did, in the US

And do you really think she worked as a receptionist in a hairdressers? Surely she would get some cut price hair colour if she did. I can almost see her ends breaking off.
