Yeap mumatron you were right

I went to Vegas on my Honeymoon instead as not all our family were impressed we were going away, so we did our wedding our way here and it was brilliant

But Vegas is BRILLIANT

I'm behind cos I had to pause it while on the phone, wondering what she says when she sees the white tuxedos....?
They look like prize idiots.

MrsJamin · 21/09/2010 22:11

Wasn't this amazing trash telly?! Just loved it.

TheVeryLazyLadybird · 21/09/2010 22:14

That was brilliant! What a numpty! How could he get it all so wrong!?

BatsInTheSnowglobe · 21/09/2010 22:17

I'd have killed him... and prob my sister for refusing to go! Their reception was in a hallway by the front door!

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/09/2010 22:24

once she turned up at the airport in Vegas I switched off -silly cow-and he looked like a pudding

popcracker · 21/09/2010 22:35

I thought it was sad - she could have done so much better.

Seeing him smoke in the hotel room - yuk.

Likes to gamble?

Can not get enough emergency funds together to sort out her dress?

He is a charity fundraiser?

Having a wedding where important family members could not attend.

PlumBumMum · 21/09/2010 22:41

How long was he in Vegas for before she arrived? SELFISH dosen't even touch the surface, and her family will always remember what he did

OP posts:
popcracker · 21/09/2010 23:00

I think he had 3 weeks to organise it and was in Vegas for most of that time?

You have to wonder if it will last - she seemed ok - he seemed just awful!

TheVeryLazyLadybird · 21/09/2010 23:39

Wonder how much he paid to stay in that hotel while he 'organised' their wedding?

Would be interesting if they showed their blessing she was planning, just to see the difference in their style, or her style and his idiotic selfishness!

TheCrackFox · 22/09/2010 00:00

Why is he bothering to get married - it seems he loves himself more than he could possibly love any wife.

Fimbo · 22/09/2010 11:40

Why do all the men on this prog look sooo much younger than the brides?

I thought his first dress was better than the one she tried on originally.

I was cringing behind the cushion. Loved the miraculous change of heart to marry him the next day.....Hmm

Lulabel27 · 22/09/2010 13:26

I can't believe she actually decided to marry him and then completely gushed about how wonderful it was!? The 7 of them looked really awkward in the massive house eating dinner and the wedding ceremony was nothing special compared to what you can have in England!

If you're going to get married in Vegas, you have to do it vegas style :)

PS: I thought it was very bad (and selfish) of the sister not to go just because it wasn't her idea of a good wedding?

bigchris · 22/09/2010 13:30

Was it Simon and kaleigh? I missed it but that one is repeated tonight at 8pm

HowAnnoying · 22/09/2010 13:45

Him and his mate basically got a 10 day vegas holiday paid for, he was a selfish plank.

But I thought her reaction to buying a new wedding dress was rather spoilt, she could've found a dress for £600!

TheCrackFox · 22/09/2010 13:52

He should have married his best man.

Marjee · 22/09/2010 14:15

Shock I can't believe she married him! I was willing her not to turn up. I know there are rules on that programme that they are not allowed contact and the bride has nothing to do with the planning but surely they would have talked about it before going on the show. I don't understand how someone can get it so wrong!

Fimbo · 22/09/2010 14:30

I agree Marjee. Surely you would talk about things like stately homes, churches etc if that is your thing or register office and marquee etc etc. The dress is another thing I don't get, surely your intended would know whether you wanted bling or not. The bestman seemed to know more about the bride than the groom.......

LadySanders · 22/09/2010 14:38

def something a bit odd about his relationship with his best man

Philosykos · 22/09/2010 15:15

Seemed like the groom was wanting to please the best man, not his girlfriend. Looked to me like the BM was calling the shots - and when he was singing at the reception, I thought "hmmm bet he thinks this is his big break". Couple of tossers.

rastababi · 22/09/2010 15:31

Just watched it on iPlayer....what a total selfish knob.

Totally agree Fimbo with the Hmm of her miraculously changing her mind the next morning!

Can't believe she went through with it.

BigBoldAndBeautiful · 22/09/2010 16:12

Wow Shock Just watched on IPlayer. Would love BBC to do a follow up on this one, absolutely shocked at Simon's selfishness...

MrsJamin · 22/09/2010 19:27

I'd missed the first 5 or 7 mins yesterday night, just caught up with the beginning on iPlayer, and now I think he's even more of a knob. He knew she would be angry and he went ahead with it- I can't imagine how he deserves her, she seemed nice.

BatsInTheSnowglobe · 22/09/2010 19:32

I agree Marjee if you're going to take part in a show like that I'd have been telling DP exactly what I wanted for months before and leaving out pics of ideal dresses etc with big arrows on saying want this! She should have married the BM he seemed to know her better than the groom!
