Series on telly late 1970s or early 1980s...

Does anyone remember this? It was a series I think on ITV about a teenage girl whose father left home to live with his girlfriend in London. The address was something square? She had an older brother maybe, and the series follows her over the next few years until she has left home. No idea what it was called, I've looked on Wikipedia with no success. Can any of you extremely kind lurverly people help? Please? Maybe the girls name was Anna?

I can remember being really young. I don't think I really understood what it was all about but remember being strangely obsessed with it at the same time. The only reason I knew what it was called was because a few years ago I did a search as it was wrecking my head trying to think of the title,all I remembered was 'patsy'.

I don't think it's what frozen is thinking of though.

No, unfortunately that's not it. It wasn't for kids - it was in the 9pm drama slot I think. Any more ideas?
