Best episode is the one where Niles confronts Maris's fencing teacher, with the 3-way translation. Fantastic.

seaturtle · 27/08/2010 21:34

Love it. Used to really fancy Niles.

BettyTurnip · 27/08/2010 21:41

Fabulous programme, so funny, witty, classy and, dare I say, educational?! Kelsey Grammer has the most gorgeous voice and I loved the character of Roz; I really wanted her and Frasier to end up together.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/08/2010 21:49

leavingonajetplane - I love that one! Makes me howl with laughter.

The other one I love is where Frasier decides to write a piece of music and ends up with a whole orchestra, vocal section etc rehearsing. Brilliant.

Milk - I will of course give credit where it is due, maybe a special announcement thread? Wink

Flame - I know! Wasn't sure if you'd seen my posts when I got my BFP. V.v.happy Grin

Oh I adore Frasier - LOL just reading the one-liners on this thread - if only I could remember them all.

The Niles trouser-ironing is one of the all-time greatest comedy moments!

KurriKurri · 27/08/2010 22:17

I love Frasier, - just the most brilliant ensemble acting by the cast. I adored Niles, (and had a soft spot for BulldogGrin)

Marjee · 27/08/2010 22:25

I love Frasier and always had a secret crush on Niles! The funniest bit I remember is when they met Roz's exboyfriend's parents - "anyone who knows you knows you're nosier!" Grin Pure comedy genius

BettyTurnip · 27/08/2010 22:49

Am baffled by the amount of people who harboured secret crushes on Niles!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/08/2010 22:51

Betty really? I love Niles too Grin

kittya · 27/08/2010 22:57

Isnt he gay in RL? I wonder if they all got on? it must have been a right laugh making it.

The last series has just been repeated and Ive caught afew. It was time to end it. Like all good things....

BettyTurnip · 27/08/2010 23:00

I would be more likely to confess to a crush on Frasier himself, or Martin for that matter. Niles was far too weedy and sparrow-like (and downright ill looking in the later seasons). Still a great character though!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 27/08/2010 23:23

AliBaba- most definitely :o :o

I've dug out the dvds and am watching them :o

Love, love, love Frasier.

Watched a lot on Channel 4 over my maternity leave over breakfast bf.

'Don't stare at me, Eddie. I'm a humane man, but right now I could kick a kitten through an electric fan.'

and

'Whilst Frasier is a Freudian, I am a Jungian, so there'll be no blaming mother today.'

Was nearly going to name-change to TheInvisibleMarisCrane... still might do it one of these days!

Pixel · 27/08/2010 23:27

I love them too, though if we are complaining about accents then Daphne's brother is the worst.

One of my favourite lines is Frasier's disbelief at the weigh-in during a sponsored slim. "How can I have put on a pound? I've added a salad to every meal!"

dave66 · 28/08/2010 11:12

My wife used to have a crush on Niles, apperently David Hyde Pierce who played him sent her a signed photo years ago. I do love the great one liners though.
Daphne on the fire alarm going off above her bed : God, the noise those bloody things make, it would be less upsetting waking up on fire.
Niles : Her lips said no, but her eyes said read my lips.
Just brilliant !

LouMacca · 28/08/2010 12:20

Frasier is one of my all time faves - wonderfully written and acted and so many laugh out loud moments. The eposide when they all go to the cabin with ski instructor Gee is my all time fave.

kittya - yes Niles is gay in real life as are Martin and Bulldog.

JumpJockey · 28/08/2010 18:32

Argh, it must be said that the serieses with Daphne's family are a pretty low point, every episode is pretty crinegworthy. Thank goodness they got it back together for the last couple.

anonacfr · 28/08/2010 18:37

'Anthing else in the box, Pandora?' Grin

Another one who loves Niles.
I never liked Friends that much and it's now so dated I can't watch it without cringing.

Frasier, however, is one of those shows I know off by heart and still watch repeatedly. Thank you God for Comedy Central!
