Sarah Jane Honeywell - Love or Loathe?

I cant figure this one out! DD loves her and thinks shes lovely. Her pretend squeeky chipmunk voice REALLY grates on me along with her over exagerated smile when she sticks her neck out a mile but on the other hand shes very enthusiatsic and not wooden like other preenters! What do you all think hmm?!

Well, I think she's a cutie.

Used to loathe her until I met her in person. Without that put on voice she's lovely.

Why do you all hate her so much?

There are far worse women I'd never give TV-room to. I'd quite happily see Sarah Jessica Whatsit slapped into submission with one of her fifteen million stupid pairs of designer shoes, for example, while Kate Silverton is an utter cow and Myleene Klaas is a waste of space.

I'll bet she'd be a decent kids presenter if she just stopped trying to be a child in a womans body.

Ooh, UQD you want to watch her on Mighty Mites! Climbing, with a special harness... dh was most put out he missed it. FWIW I agree with you and all your annoying tv people too (do you also have irrational dislike of Nicole Kidman? ), but then I am a sucker for clowning and slapstick-style gurning so she had me playing the piano with Justin on Higgledy Piggledy House.

Well, look, I'm not going to the wall for her. It's not like she is The Divine Harding, or even anywhere on the List... I just think she is quite sweet!

I find her irritating in a posturing infantile way

there is something in me that just reacts viscerally to a grown woman prissing and simpering about like a four year old - she is clearly NOT a good feminist

although I would think some of the hostility towards her stems from the knowledge that half the nation's fathers are creaming their shorts at the mere mention of her, even generally sensible types like UQD

I do no such thing! I just think she is... sweet. She doesn't really pass the Filth Test for me.

When does she simper about? I just don't see it (apart from as that stupid Zingzilla). Mind you, my only real experience of her are Higgledy house and one episode of mighty mites - she was alright...
ohhh just remembered , didn't she use to present Tikkabilla? but they were ALL terrible on that - you couldn't single her out for OTT Children's Telly Presenter behaviour there.

She reminds me of Bonnie Langford. That, in itself, is enough to make me dislike her.

I would like to see S-J, and the cast of 'Grandpa in my Pocket ' (Mr Bolam aside), cast away to sea. Along with any other stage school happy types. Like the entire Green balloon club. And the dog.
