I'm getting ready to write a letter complaining about it before I've even seen it. Apparently it helps people whose babies don't sleep through at night

oohh dear - not sure what DS1 would do if ASW tried to take his dummy away! the mums are being incredibly honest for the TV so i hope they get a happy ending.

nasdaq · 03/08/2010 21:19

poor poppy and thomas having to deal with the scary lady Alison...

nasdaq · 03/08/2010 21:21

Awful Alison ... this is sounding a bit rough...

rokersmum · 03/08/2010 21:22

DP snores and makes no decisions ... hmm similarities!

poppy34 · 03/08/2010 21:23

yes-how is takign their dummy away going to help?

and 11 hours a night pretty unrealistic - dd very good but that doesnt happen more than 2 nights a week (sorry to all with bad sleepers but that is a really unrealistic expectation)

girlylala0807 · 03/08/2010 21:23

Is it me or do those two "experts" seem to be a particular brand of smug...not sure they really care about the families more about their methods!

rokersmum · 03/08/2010 21:24

what does the postman do with all the dummys he gets?!

nasdaq · 03/08/2010 21:25

This is all going to end in tears...oh no.

nasdaq · 03/08/2010 21:26

What if it is a tired and a stressed cry in one????

HumphreyCobbler · 03/08/2010 21:26

this is a vastly irritating programme

AnyFucker · 03/08/2010 21:26

that lady with the popping-out eyes need to get a blood test for an overactive thyroid

< hijack over >

sailorsgal · 03/08/2010 21:26

I do agree about the bottles and dummies Its going to be tough though as they are so used to them.

BellevilleRendezvous · 03/08/2010 21:28

how old are these twins? as if saying sternly "here is a list of rules. no milk, new beds and stay in bed in the morning until Mummy & Daddy say you can get up" is going to work like magic.

Gigantaur · 03/08/2010 21:28

WTF? why is it so difficult to use the word BED?

HumphreyCobbler · 03/08/2010 21:29

they are too young to understand any of it imo

Poshwellies · 03/08/2010 21:29

11 hours might be pushing it a bit for little ones, but at 7.5 years old,I'd like my ds to sleep for at least 7 hours a night, especially with a full school day and physical actitivy most days.

I have come to just accept it,we've tried most things and we just assume he has a an overactive mind and doesn't need the sleep.

LadyBlaBlah · 03/08/2010 21:29

I was just wondering about the eye thing. Hoped it was a symptom of over tiredness and would be all cleared up by the end.

LynetteScavo · 03/08/2010 21:30

So parents went in 30 times?

so if you want to go in 30 times a night for several weeks, then, OKayeee. (Depending on how strong willed the kids are, but going by my DC...)

NanBullen · 03/08/2010 21:30

no but it sets the scene and shows them how its going to be from now on. Alison will have the little boy sleeping well in a matter of days, the other woman's method will just prolong the agony.

IMO

LadyBlaBlah · 03/08/2010 21:31

fucking hell that's tough Poshwellies

HumphreyCobbler · 03/08/2010 21:32

it seems you are right NanBullen

Haliborange · 03/08/2010 21:33

WHY has she moved them to beds at the same time?

I am quite strict with my kids re bedtimes/staying in bed etc but would never try to change more than one thing at a time. That's asking for misery!

Ineedsomesleep · 03/08/2010 21:33

Poshwellies, what does he do the rest of the time? Does he entertain himself while you sleep for a bit longer?

nasdaq · 03/08/2010 21:33

Who has the popping out eyes - I can see 2 sets of popping out eyes.. Steph and Alison?

Ineedsomesleep · 03/08/2010 21:34

I think they both need a thryoid test.
