Just watching Rev on BBC2 and couldn't place the actor who play's the Rev's right hand man in the church - it's only bloody Archie from Balamory! It was more his voice than how he looks!!

Dh and I went through John Sargeant, Boris Johnson ... I kept saying, "He had different hair!", but it was agony. I just couldn't place him.

The fact that he doesn't have a hint of a Scottish accent doesn't help. I'd probably struggle to place Josie or Spencer, too. Whereas Miss Hoolie could pop in full Klingon costume and I'd know her.

The 'play day' routine she sang and danced always made me feel a little sad (and embarrassed) for her. You could tell she wanted to be a starlet really, rather than swathed in shapeless brown and green.
