Pre-teen clothes - too old for M&S, too young for Top Shop

Help. 11 yr old DD, loves clothes, pretty stylish (god knows where that comes from).

Has done very well so far on hand me downs from 2 x groovy friends daughters, plus now what she buys herself from Primark, Tammy at BHS on long, long shopping excursions with friends where they spend £8 over a whole afternoon. She lives in skinny jeans, long cardigans and t-shirts with slogans. Oh and appalling small mini skirts, with leggings, which I occasaionlly lose in the wash....

I'm happy with this state of affairs, but she's grown out of everything recently and I need to get her some decent stuff to add to her tat. Boden and M&S would have been fine once long ago! We went to H&M, Zara, Top Shop (too big) and Tammy last night and after 2 hours had found a - yes - a cardi which was deemed suitable! Anyone know of any other shops we should try?

Looks like she'll end up another pair of skinny jeans... - maybe another colour!

H&M & Cult maybe?

cloelia · 17/01/2010 22:13

definitely agree with H and M, spent a lot in there recently for tall 11 year old. have you seen a catalogue called Joe Brown's? Have good sales.

New Look and Primark and some stuff at M&co (up to 13).

Also, don't rule out Tesco/ Asda et al. Their ranges change but always worth a look.

Next? Agree with H&M and New Look.
Debenhams?

stick with primark if she can find stuff that fits. i have a similar problem but with ds1, hes 12 and small, he will no longer wear m&s or boden etc but hes too small for small mens wear and only a tiny amount of mens shops sell xs.

international I think their kids range goes up to 13 if I remember right.
