Have just put dd (nearly 18 fgs!) on the bus back to school 400kms away!

It's a dark rainy night and I wish she was still here!

DD2 is going back to uni on Saturday 9th. We are actually taking her up as she has far tomany birthday and Christmas presents to take back on the coach. We are meeting up with DD1 and her Dh when we take her as its DD3's 18th birthday on Sunday and we are going to have a family celebration. I digress yes I shal miss DD2 but she is now ready to go backmshe's missing all her uni friends and geting a bit bored. I won't miss the late nights.

must be tough when they have to go away to school, mumonthenet. Not looking forward to DS going to uni, tho as mumeeee says, am sure staying awake waiting for them to come in when they are used to being completely independent is not much fun!

Dd adores the sixth-form course she's doing -she couldn't have done it near home - there wasn't the same course here. I think she would start to get bored if she was here much longer - though she loved her two weeks at home on mum's food and seeing her friends!

Strange to send her off again, but yep, there are definate advantages, especially when the younger ones start again tomorrow...their bedtimes in the holidays just get later and later...aaaarrrghh.

No it doesn't. Or at least it hasn't yet.

Took dd(18) back to uni today and ds(22)goes back to his university city (he stayed there after graduation) tomorrow. Miss them both in the first few days after they leave and hate the goodbyes. But they are happy so really I'm happy for them.

I have joined facebook and that way I can keep in touch with them. The eldest two are cool about this but the youngest will not let me her friend as yet. But she rings me most days because she knows I enjoy a chat.
