actually she is not a teen, but dd has been having periods since july, seem fairly frquent but she has to miss out on swimming lessons.
i went to look at tampons and was blinded by science, however i couldnt find mini tampons which i would have thought she shoudl have,

Hiya, when I started mine I wasn't a teen either and I used regular tampons with an applicator - could not get the hang of the non app ones. See how she gets on with them, personally I think I would encourage her to only use them for swimming to avoid risks of TSS.

DD4 (10) uses Tampax Compak Lites. They are the ones with plastic applicators which in my experience are easier to use when you're just starting out. I find they aren't available everywhere though so have a look around.

thanks

i was going with the applicator as i think they are better suited, in the unknown, as it were.
even i dont use the compac but i spose they sound the best.
or perhaps i should buy both and let her judge.
