What do you do about child care about your Tween?

My DD (11) is getting too old for kids clubs, but not quite old enough to be on her own all day.

Any advice?

There are some kids clubs around here that go up to 14. Some are based at leisure centres and they have activities for older children.These activities include swimming, other sorts stuff,make up session for girls and just genrally chilling out. Is there anything like that around you.

I mean other sports stuff.

I work only 10 minutes walk from home and only 9-3 so I do let my DD 12 stay home. We do have a really good mariners base close by so I often book dcs there for one or two days a week.

I think our local council run clubs stop at 11.

How would you find out about maths clubs etc? I have just googled some but can't seem to find any.
