DD1 is 21 so not still a teenager but I thought Id put this here.
She was a strppy teenager andwe went through a lot of arguements. She grew out of thes into a mature young, geting a first in in her Zoolical degree in June.
Well yesterday was he Big Day. She got married to a wonderful young man. It was a exhausting but wonderful day. DH and I are very proud of her.

Aw, lovely! Your little girl is all growed up! I got a little teary eyed there for a minute!

There's hope for my ds2 yet then!!

(cause I could quite cheerfully throttle him at the moment!!!)

mumeeee · 30/03/2009 21:36

I've just realised my typing was a bit all over the place on Sunday. I think my brain was a bit mixed up with all the emotion on Saturday!Yes kiddiz thee is still hopr for your ds2. I also have to rember that DD2 and £ will also grow out of their strops. Although D2 now 19 is now begining to come out of them ( she started late).
It feels strange having a married daughter and now birnfg a Mother in Law.

I think that this is great...we get all knotted up looking for advice from those going thru the same thing...we should be asking those who have come out the other side for their advice with the benefit of hindsight...trusting the wisdom and experience of our elders....maybe the tennage section should be in the grandparents so that thye could advise...they have been there...teenagers have always been a problem

cornsilk · 10/04/2009 10:44

aw! How lovely!

randomrabbit · 10/04/2009 10:47

aww How lovely I too have 2 grown up daughters both were stroppy teens ..now both lovely ...just 1 ds16 to go

cornsilk · 10/04/2009 11:34

Does it work with boys as well?

mumeeee · 10/04/2009 23:08

Yes it works with boys. My sisters 2 eldest boys are 22 and almost 20. They are both involved with organisations that help disadvantage teenagers. One in USA and one in London. They have grown into mature young men.

The big question at the moment is whether dd will reach 21, or I shall murder her first .

mumeeee · 16/04/2009 23:37

Iknow how you feel. Although DD1 has matured and come out the other side,we are still geting grief with DD2 who is 19.
