full course is meant to be 2- but having just one is meant to be 90-95% effective anyway.

DS1 only ever had one and he is 15. I think perhaps the booster was less rigorously applied then.

For VERY obvious reasons he will not be having it anyway - but I may look at mumps before he goes to uni in a few years.

DS (15) has only had one - but that was because we turned down the booster when we were offered it, as the whole business had kicked off between the first and the booster. I'll try to remember to ask him if he wants to do anything about it...

oh don't worry a bit - the second jab is just arse covering, DR told me if it didn't take after one jab it is very unlikely to on 2nd

i don't get it, no way I would have missed a jab. yet I only have the 15 month one written in his book.

ds 12 has only had one
ds2 8 has had neither.

I was told 98% get the immunity from the first jab and the second one is a routine to catch those who didnt.

tis ok, I re chcked his blue book and he had it done pre school
OH dmm the silly practice nurse. I knew he had had it done. but she said he hadn't.......sh had meade me book him in for a tetnas booster, got there and she asked why we were there as he had had it in 2007!!!!!!!
so glad I was right.
