Has Anybody Had Problems With Child Benefit Since 16yr Old Started Further Education

My dd started college in Sept.
Even though she is in further education I have had my child benefit stopped since the 28th August. I have been trying to phone them constantly since then but all i get is a recorded message saying that they have a high volume of calls and then they cut me off.
I then learnt how to use the pc and emailed them on the 4th Sept explaining the situation..I got a standard email reply stating that they had received my email and would be in touch within 10 to 20 working days. Nothing else happened.
I put a complaint into the complaints dept. by email and received a reply apologising and asked me to fill in a form online and they would respond to this within 10 to 20 working days.
You guessed it!! Nothing has happened.
Does anyone know what is going on, has this happened to you? What do i do now.

I had a form to fill in to let them know if D3 was going to continue her education. I didn't send it in time so got a letter saying sher benifit would stop on 1st September. I phoned them and explained what had happened and everything was sorted out striaght away.

urk. I had better check!
I sent the form ages ago.

We got a letter maybe round about January?

We had to fill out a form saying that DS was staying in full-time education.

I remember filling in form and we are still getting CTC.
ds1 turns 16 next year so will have to do it all again.
Still not got EMA for said 16 yo

I can't believe this! Within a week of posting this question I finally got a letter today saying that my ds's childbenefit is in my post office account 'yipppeeeee' and that it has been backdated to the 1st Sept. It is such a relief as at the moment I am still paying for her train fare to college and that cost me £4.75 a day! I have only just received a letter from local education telling me to send them £25 to them now that the train pass is ready,(thank god for that as funds were by now ridiculously low).

Needmorecoffee: DS received a letter off the EMA four days ago telling her to get her Learner Provider from college to sign a form called her 'Notice of Entitlement' to say her attendance is ok (one form for the EMA and one for ds) then she has to send that back which releases her EMA into her bank account, (about bloody time, she has really been looking forward to it).
