The Best method to Recycle old School Tights

Is to Burn them..as they are non - biodegradable ..if like i [two 17 yr old daughters] you have daughters wearing Black Opaque Tights for school.they get through so many pairs!!

You can cut them into strips (well, loops I suppose) about 1 inch wide and they make really useful hair ties.

Make them into a big rag rug and give it to them for Christmas.

Save them for when you rob a bank or go trick or treating.

Wear them on your head to lodge a cordless phone against your ear, while doing housework....

Anyone remember???

(Oops - just seen this is in teenagers section - OK, forget the housework bit...)

You cut off the laddered legs of two laddered pairs then put on the good legs on each leg iyswim. so you have 2 pairs of one legged tights.

Also very good tummy support.
