Our 2 dds have friends round...they are all about 17...they are in the front room, dp and I just went in to discuss something with the dds, and these two lads STOOD UP to make chairs available to us. Afraid to say I don't think this would have occurred to our dcs, but very impressive, no? And, I might add they have spent last 2 afternoons sitting round teaching eachother card games, v civilized. Lovely.

They probably have nefarious designs on your dds. I (distantly) remember being a teenager and it was the charming ones you had to watch out for.

I would be suspicious.I think they are lulliing you into a false sence of security. They are secretly planning a rave in your garden when you go a way for the weekend, and trut them to feed the cat a water the plants.

actually, we have just been away with youngest ds for 4 nights, everything intact on our return and a meal cooked. Am I tempting fate by being pleased?

well, DD1 has a sticker on her door about making cannabis fudge (must remember to remove it before Grandma comes) they have gne now, DD1 tells me one of the lads was eating raw garlic by itself, what's that about? (casts mind back into prehistory, finds nothing....except that he must not be a vampire)

It's a sign that teenagers have been up to no good if you return and the house is looking newly cleaned and a meal has been made.

Maybe his folks are hippie types, garlic is really good for your blood....on the other hand the garlic eating one was definitely not snogging your dd, its the other one you need to watch!!!!

My theory is he was eating garlic because he had the munchies after the hash brownies.

You thought they were standing up to offer you a seat, but infact they were trying to run away, and were too high to move fast.

When I was a teenager my Mum always knew if I had a party if she had ben away because the house was always cleaner then it ever was lol
