I find it hard since 14.5 to current 15.5. All the ups and lows, GCSE pressure, tiredness, hormones, mood swings. I am frequently worried about DD.

How did you cope and supported your teen.

Yes you will have to be tough, it’s so hard but all you can do is your best and ask for help if you are not qualified in that area. You are not expected to fix everything yourself like when they were little children.

I am a soft mother; however when they are feeling well they can be so lovely, kind, respectful, caring. They are not rude or
misbehaving; just struggling with strong emotions and friendships issues at the moment so feeling miserable which is hard to see. Plus the pressure of GCSES, deciding their future, growing up, etc.

I have had some lovely times with them; but it is hard when they are struggling and feeling miserable.

yes; hoping we are about to turn a corner when they turn 16 for the best.

DS is 17 and starting to improve. DD is nearly 15 and is either entirely delightful or an absolute pig, hugely ambitious or utterly listless.

When she is feeling good and everything is going well; we have some lovely times together. Will try to hold on to that.

It is hard been a teen and hard being the parent of a teen.
