Driving test cancellation apps

Morning, our DS has his driving test in August however it isn’t in his preferred city. Has anyone used any driving test cancellation apps that alert you to a cancellation? Just wondered if they were worth it?

I think these apps have become illegal since May 2026. The DVLA can cancel your test if they find you are using them. I think you have to contact the DVLA directly to change your test date or location

You can use the Testi App. This is legal, because they get you to log onto the DVLA website, albeit you’re not supposed to do it, only your ds. The only issue is it took ages to actually be able to change dd’s test as the world and his dog also has this or a similar app and always seem to snaffle them before she got chance. But she did in the end.

As for the city, you are now only allowed to rebook at nearby locations. I would check with DVLA now to see which ones he could change to. If they’re likewise not convenient, you’ll have to bite the bullet or cancel and start from scratch. I imagine new bookings are now into November.

The apps are illegal now.
