Celebrations for GCSE and A-level exams. In London.

My two DCs will face GCSE and A-level this summer and I would like to go out for dinner in the evening of their last exam (it will be a Thursday). I would like to something quite nice, a dinner in a fancy restaurant in London. On of them will also become 18 while taking his alevels so it will be a sort of celebration for that as well.

can anyone suggest a good restaurant but also with a special vibe (I am thinking of skyscrapers or similar).

I went to the proper Ivy for my 18th birthday and it was lots of fun.

Are you absolutely sure they won't want to be with friends on the night exams end? Otherwise great idea.

Rules or Ivy both very good

Do they like fancy Chinese/Taiwanese food? My similar aged DC love Din Tai Fung near Tottenham Court Road because it feels like being abroad! High floor and nice decor. My own GSCE taker has asked if we celebrate there post-exams.

Duck and waffle is nice and high up!
