School Uniform costs

Is it unusual for schools to say that trousers need to have the school logo? I’ve been told by a few people that they’ve never heard schools saying the trousers need to have the school logo. Ours does and says it’s mandatory. I’ve just bought 2 new pairs of trousers and one tie and it’s cost me £67!

Yes, current guidance for state schools recommends that schools require no more than 3 branded items, and that they should keep this to a minimum due to financial and environmental impact.

yeah that would be 3 items, blazer, trousers and tie (jumper is optional but if worn must have the logo) people still seem surprised though when I say that I can’t just buy supermarket trousers.

Not in my area, no schools have this, my DD’s school just specify school logo shirt, jumper and PE kit but that’s all.
My brother used to teach in a different area of the UK and his school did mandate official trousers and skirt as well as jumper, blazer etc (he privately thought it was ridiculous)

It's slightly unusual but i suppose as they are still within current guidelines then they can choose which items (3 branded for primary school and 4 branded secondary school).

School trousers with logos? That's absolutely preposterous. I've never heard of nonsense like this before.
