How long does your teen sleep?

DD18 sleeps until 1 or 2pm on the days she doesn’t work, she only works 3 days per week. No idea what time she goes to sleep. I imagine after midnight.

She used to be so active when little but changed completely when she got older and have become a bit sedentary. It does worry me a bit; she sometimes decides that is time yo get exercise and goes for a bike ride at night time. Cycle to work sometimes, about 6 mileages each way.

She has had blood tests and the only thing that has come low in the past is folid acid; not sure this is something she needs to take permanently. She has been on and off it.

I think its just how teens are, my teen dd almost 18 doesn't stay up past midnight but can still sleep in until 12-1pm. thinking back i was the same, although I am by nature a bit of a night owl. Teens need more sleep.

Thank you. I think she is a night owl definitely; while the rest of the family including DD15 are more early risers, I guess everyone is different

Teens sleep A LOT!!! If she's getting to work on time I wouldn't worry about how late she sleeps on days off

I used to sleep that long easily. Like 15 hours without budging. Now not so much

I used to sleep that long too, used to struggle to get out of bed for my Saturday job which started at lunchtime! Could only dream of sleeping that long now barely get 6 hours!
