Irregular periods teen girl after the yr 8 immunisation programme HPV

Hi, my DDs period have become so irregular since having the HPV jab she was going every 35 days before that but regular now it’s maybe every 4 months, she’s piled on weight too, I’m getting really concerned, she looks so bloated all the time. Has anyone else’s DD had an experience like this? She refuses to see a dr.

If she’s in year 8 she’s 12/13yo? I wouldn’t give her the choice to see a Dr, I’d make the appointment and she’d go.

It sounds like polycystic ovary’s possibly and I don’t think it’s related to the hpv vaccine.

I took my daughter to see a paediatric gynaecologist because her periods blocked for around a year.
The HPV vaccine she had shortly before was mentioned.

Any chance she is pregnant?

With the weight gain it could be PCOS? Does she have any acne or issues with body hair?

Thanks for all the reply’s so weirdly after me posting about it on here must have created some kind of voodoo and my DD finally had her period, it had been 58 days since the last one, so definitely not pregnant thank goodness 🫣it did go through my mind though! I have since been in touch with a nurse who said for the first few years it can be pretty normal to go longer times in between but it should settle, but she did say it sounds like she’s just not ovulating and it could be to do with her weight gain….
