Diddy Blud

Hello

Today I received an email to say my son had googled ‘Diddy Blud Calculator’ and could I please speak to him about internet safety as it may be offensive. That’s fine but this is another ridiculous trend where I cannot even find out what it means! It’s unclear (at present) if he knew and was actively supporting of the message it’s conveying or if he was googling it the same way I was to see what it meant. He knows that school internet searches can be seen and are monitored so he’s clearly not hiding it.

Can anyone please explain this new phrase to me?

And secondly, there have been times when some teachers are joining in with these new phrases. E.g Skibidi Ohio, 6 7 etc. It annoys me as it’s making it even more difficult to explain that these weird trends and crazes aren’t acceptable or healthy. It’s making it difficult for parents to have conversations about internet safety and repeating possible offensive language when sometimes it’s ok and sometimes it’s not. And how is anyone to know which ones are acceptable and which aren’t if they don’t google it?

It's an AI song, the usual nonsensical/brainrot type thing that appeals to the teens of today 😂 he's probably heard someone talking about it so figured he'd search it.

Obviously there's more to it in terms of "Diddy Blud" - that's just a generally offensive term like calling someone a dickhead/idiot type thing, coming from the downfall of Diddy I assume.

But the phrase "Diddy Blud Calculator" will be referring to the song.

Well what happens when you Google it? Presumably it's a load of cretinous nonsense to entertain bored teens?

ThatNaiceMember · 14/11/2025 16:17

It seems to be just nonsense now one can agree on the meaning of and now there's a song. Perfectly normal for a teenager hey Google the time if they've just heard it I just did 🤣 As for the rest of the nonsense, honestly I think just ignore it. It'll go away quick enough. I'm sure we use plenty of slang that our parents rolled their eyes at!

Haha Brainrot sums it up in one. The fact that the school emailed me immediately about it and it was head of year rather than the class teacher made me feel like he was showing interest in something awful. I’ve found the song but I’ve heard worse lyrics on the radio

Exactly that. There is no clear answer what it means. The school seem to think it’s serious enough to email me immediately about. And I don’t really know what they want me to do about it. Insist he doesn’t Google stuff? Just want to make sure there’s not some awful meaning behind it

I just asked my 16 year old ds, he’s shrieking with laughter at his mum saying Diddy blud 🙄 in between giggles he says it’s just a phrase that people call each other. And yes Diddy blud calculator is a song.
